Thinking on Easter

Easter is just around the corner and I have some ideas, turning in my head. Despite that still have not decided what to do.

Every year I prepare cod with onions , potatoes and eggs, in a tradicional Portuguese dish . But I am not sure if this year I will prepare cod
Besides the eggs that spread through the house, the macaroons and the Spanish donuts to give to friends who by chance spend to visit us. For dessert am in doubt what to do: either a chocolate mousse, which is a hit at home or a chocolate flan a lighter choice, but I have not decided anything for now.

Here by the Spanish influences in the tables no lack on seafood, part sweet is on behalf of the traditional Easter threads, sweet yeasted dought, covered with pastry cream, candied fruit and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Some bakeries offers in a more elaborate version, filled with almond paste. By far our favorite

.

As you can see I have enough ideas, but they still did not decided by on main course ..And you? who have in mind to easter holidays?

Plus too ,  if you can, (sorry I know I'm pushing it now!) but if anyone would like to nominate me for the Saveur Best Blog awards 2011 in the Food photography category I would be super, super thrilled :-)

I'm impressed with the pictures. Easter for us is usually ham and a chocolate fondue for dessert. This year will be on vacation to NYC. Don't know what we will have.
