Remolding kitchen and the last risotto

I made this risotto last Sunday, the last day that my kitchen seems like a kitchen.

The good new was that my brand new cooker arrives, Always is the same thing, when you need desperately, the store usually delivery two weeks later, but, when you don’t …in the same day you have in home

Summer breeze


These are days that we adored, summer, lazy days, and un dolce far niente in the beach. So we stay out in vacation for a couple of weeks

A good and Happy new

Well, I want to share with you a good and happy new I won the January DMBLGIT contest in originality category hosted by The food traveller I am so proud, because I started to take food photos a lees than a year

As well I work whit advertising art direction and made a lot of food TV commercials I never take a photo inside the set. I just watch the photographer I have basic knowledge about light and perspective that I learn in the university. I am a good observant , I try to recreate some techniques ,sometimes I feel that I am able , sometimes no, but I always try to do my best.

I like to take pictures in different angles and creative shapes trying to stay out of the common places that I saw in food photos, but I never miss my focus, well I try, that is food

I want to thanks all encouraging comment and visit, mainly to Nieves and Maryanne

New Things in My Kitchen

I love buy new kitchen utensils and now I have serious space problems to stock them. My husband always said:” When I think that she had all, she always found anything new that she needs” But this is another story.

Yesterday we went to cut my husband hair in a barber shop in the mall, and guess who?
Is in front of a kitchen shop!! And obviously I can’t resist… and like always I bought a lovely glass sauce boat, a garlic (or nutmeg) slicer, and a kind of sieved to made tomato passata.

But the best new thing was my husband’s Christmas present. A red notebook, isn’t he lovely? Now I can stock my photos and recipes in my own PC, I’ll bring it in my travels, and I am so happy and grateful? Cos he knows how much I want this.

Flowers in vases

Gerbera

Today at eight in the morning I have receiving a beautiful bouquet composed by pink gerberas daisy, salmon iris, mini white gerberas ; they came accompany with a personal card. They belonged to my husband to remember that ours wedding’s anniversary.




I adore flowers. And I have pleasure of making flower arrangements in all occasions, as well liking to have fresh flowers at home. With part of these flowers I made this floral arrangement in rose

You need:

A flat vase

3 Gerberas

1 Mini gerbera

Two white daisies or soft rose

1 Cortadeira of the pampas leaves

Gardening scissors

Metal support for flowers

You must cut the stream of the gerbera in diagonal form and leave her with approximately 3, inches of height, cut the other ones two in the same way with some less ones inches each one, Whit this kind of cut you must give movement, creating a funny arrangement. In the otherwise you can create a boring piece.

Cuts the mini lower gerbera to leave in the base.

Spit in the support and cut the cortadeira s in the same way and put behind each

flower following the size and to give a shade effect.

Tip: change the water every day and cut a small part of the stream flower. With that, you arrangement will reach more time.

If you don’t find cortadeira de los pampas you may use light bamboo

Before Cannella came out in vacations she left a meme for us. It was to put a picture of our kitchens, the place that we pass good part of our time cooking.

My kitchen is not big, but for me it is ideal, although in these months in that she can have an improvement, I am thinking in to retire the galleries approximately and to leave the right roof and make an island. Nina also left me a meme in what concerns to would have to write the first sentences of the first book in having at hand.

Cozinha biscoitos de amendoas

1 Vanilla bean

200 G of butter

80G of sugar

1 salt

2 Eggs yolks

300G flour

100G almonds processed with peel

Your favorite marmalade or jam

Confectionery's sugar to sprinkle

Method

With a sharp knife open the vanilla and retire the seeds

Whisk the butter with the sugar and the salt and the vanilla seeds until

get a whitish concoction. Add the yolks. Combine the flour with the

almonds blended.. Wrap up in film and be taken in refrigerator for approximately three hours. Cut circles and other circles whit a hole in the middle..

Become to the oven for 10 or 12 minutes should be stay gold in below and whitish

above.

Retire to the oven, and, sprinkle with confectionery sugar the circle whit the hole and fill the other whit marmalade or jam .Unite the two parts and serve With the white eggs leftover I add 200g from blended almond and 100g caster sugar Mix well and take to the oven with a preserve cherry on top.

Spring

And finally she comes…

For whom that lives in the South Hemisphere, today it begins the spring. The most beautiful time of the year. No more cloudy and rainy day’s .But the beginning of colorful days warm,blue skies.... and soon comes the summer .But this is another story. To commemorate this day I bought flowers that made happy my home. Happy Spring day for all!!!

One meme and a chocolate banana cake

Little Mainyacha last week tagged me for a Meme with the amusing name Fantastic 4, I apologize for the holdup. Didn't some of the items end up being four; will it means that I have a boring life??? No, in my point of view, is not. But whatever I leave you here, so that you reach your own conclusions.


Four Interesting Jobs I've had In My Life:

1. Work in production of television advertising and I made many kitchens for commercial of margarines, tomato sauces, noodles and etc...


2. I made investigation of markets for marketing; it was very interesting to know the
population's tendencies.

3. Work with a friend in Sao Paulo with catering for fairs and exhibitions and I believe that it was starting from there that I take, but I like the culinary one, in spite of liking me from before

And thinking in chocolate cake, t I resolved to make this chocolate cake that I leave the recipe below.

Chocolate and banana cake

I like chocolate a lot, although I know that addicted people exist to this wonderful flavor, I don't belong one to them I hardly like chocolate and perfectly I can live without it, I don't know, but maybe, it doesn't stimulate my endorphins so much. Yesterday the day was quite ugly, rain and cold, the whole day. And I was thinking in when it will arrive the spring, my favorite season of the year. I quite appreciate the cold days, and the snow that this winter surprised all that we live here. But this year the winter it began early and delaying in finishing. But, returning to the initial topic of this entrance, and like I said before in "Meme", the cakes of chocolate accompanied by a cup for coffee comfort me specially in cold days. My husband likes a lot bananas and I always have them in my home. I looked at the bananas), being almost wasted and knowing that I had a chocolate bar in the cupboard, and a peanut butter that I didn't have idea of because I bought it Then , I made this cake. Very flavor easy and quick to made

Ingredients

80G of half bitter chocolate, use to 60 cocoa%

125 G butter ointment

125 G peanut butter or peanut cream

200G brown sugar

30G bitter powdered chocolate

100G banana puree

3 Large Eggs

220G wheat flour

10 G f baking powder

1 pinch of salt

120Cc milk

Method

Melt the chocolate in bain Marie or microwaves. Allow to cool. Beat until whitening the butter and the peanut butter with the sugar Add powdered cocoa and the melted chocolate. the flour with the salt and the powder of to bake to the previous mixture and to incorporate them in encircling movements. Place in a mold for English pudding of 30cm for 6 cm grease the mold and had with a leaf of shortening paper.

I already used two molds of disposable paper grease, of 12 for 6 cm. approximately, in oven at 180ºC for 45 to 50 minutes. I hope you enjoy .
