A typical Argentine sweet: Tomato marmalade

Marmelade and spatulas It was weird-The first time I heard about a tomato based jam, I thought I had misunderstood my husband’s aunt-marmalade? I asked - Made from real tomatoes? Like, for spread on toast? And then I thought, but what does it taste like? Is it like a sweet tomato spaghetti sauce on breakfast? Serious, I couldn't even imagine starting my day spreading this over my toast Tomato marmelade But, botanical, tomato is a fruit and why not eats as a sweet jelly? In fact tastes good, different, but good. I also used as seasoning lamb, is delicious Tomato marmalade Dulce de Tomate is classic Argentinean comfort food, known by all. The marmalade on toasted or bread, whisked back to those childhoods This recipe was kindly bring to me by courtesy of my husband’s aunt Tomato marmalade Ingredients 2 kilos fresh tomatoes 1 kilo about 3 cups sugar 2 oranges 2 lemons 2 tablespoons whole cloves Method Remove peel from tomatoes and cut in small pieces. Zest oranges and lemons very thin Pour off juice from the tomatoes. Add sugar. zest and cloves Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Place mixture over high heat and boil rapidly, stirring often. Cook until bright and thick; about 60 minutes. Taking care that it doesn't stick or burn. Pour into sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch of top. Put on cap, screw band firmly tight. En l´ Alt Empordá que es la comarca de Cataluña donde vivo, tambien hay tradición de hacer mermelada de tomate.
La tuya tiene una pinta estupenda, y como siempre las fotos magnificas

Sounds delicious with the orange and lemon zests! I had the same confusion the first time I heard about red pepper jelly, but it's delicious too.
